Why Conveyor Capacity Matters in Pixel Flow!
A lot of Pixel Flow! levels become difficult for one simple reason: the conveyor gets crowded.
That may sound obvious, but conveyor capacity is one of the most important mechanics in the whole game. Even if you choose the correct color, the level can still go wrong if that pig arrives at the wrong moment or has no room to work cleanly.
The game punishes good ideas with bad timing
This is what makes Pixel Flow! interesting.
A tap can be logically correct in isolation and still be a bad move overall. Why? Because every extra pig on the conveyor changes the timing of the pigs behind it.
That means conveyor capacity affects:
- launch order
- ammo efficiency
- waiting-slot value
- recovery after mistakes
What overcrowding looks like
You are probably overfilling the conveyor if:
- your last few taps always feel rushed
- the right pig arrives too late to be useful
- you keep sending pigs back just because they are available
- the level becomes chaotic even though the colors still look manageable
In many cases, the board is not the real problem. The belt is.
Why early restraint helps so much
A calmer first cycle creates better choices later.
When the conveyor stays open:
- important pigs get cleaner windows
- saved pigs return with more value
- you have more room to react
- the final phase is easier to control
This is why many walkthroughs look slower than expected. They are protecting timing, not wasting time.
A good mental model
Think of conveyor space as a resource, just like ammo.
You would not waste ammo on low-value hits if you could save it for a better moment. Conveyor space should be treated the same way. Do not spend it on pigs that do not improve the next cycle.
Final thought
If a Pixel Flow level keeps slipping away, check the conveyor before you blame the colors. The problem is often not that you chose the wrong pig, but that you sent too many pigs before the important one got its turn.
